if we are forced to sell at short sale on a VA loan and VA has to pay a claim, does this deny me the opportunity to use the USDA in Tennessee? Our payments are up to date. $904.oo per month at Wells fargo. my wifes medical condition requires I move to a more moderate climate. Our home two years ago would have sold for $142,000.00 and now would be lucky to get $83,000 to $105.00 out of the house. We owe $120,000.00 . our pensions , RRR and SSDI total $3596.00 per month. please reply. Thanks. LT

We have neighbors who recently about a side and paid just over one dollar per . They said the beef is great quality. I didn’t get much more info so I don’t know where the purchase was made or how the cow was raised.

Another friend wants to go halves with me, but is insisting on grass fed vs. grain fed. At about $3 per pound, it sounds pretty pricey.

This is all new to us, so any information you can offer would be appreciated.

I have also been doing a little research on where the best deal/beef is located around the Knoxville area, and I mean ‘little’…havent gotten far at all …We are new to Maryville, and would love to go this route stocking our freezer full of meat, veggies, & fruits.

India On Wheels - Spring is a wonderful time here. You can see herds of deer in the fields around the mountains in the spring. They get very close to those people enjoying the area as well.

Sorry not spring for a couple of months, March or April, but we definitely don’t have Chicago weather! The sun is out but the temps are generally in the 40’s. Wish I could say it was warmer. We do have snow skiing in the nearby Smoky mountains though.

Charmaine - It was a great show last night!

Lala - The mountains of east Tennessee are very beautiful. Lots of wonderful places to hike and take in the great views. Parts of I-40 are closed entirely for the rest of the year to expand and improve the traffic flow.
